Youth copper jailed for helping someone at ATM machin
For all those who readily help others to their own detriment.
a young corp member got into trouble while trying to help. The newly posted corp member had gone to an Access bank ATM to withdraw N3000 from his account.
Shortly after he returned to the office, he received a call from Diamond Bank requesting his presence @ the bank, moments later to the utter amazement of everyone, dude returned in fetters accompanied by policemen & Bank staff.
A heavy allegation of theft was slammed on him. He was being accused of stealing a huge toyota car and other things bank Staff came with a video evidence of the corp member withdrawing at the ATM with a card from the stolen car. Dude was crying profusely & tried in futility to exonerate himself by giving a detailed explanation of what had happened
He went to a nearby Access bank to make withdrawal when a fellow approached him feigning ignorance on the workings of the ATM. He agreed to help & collected the ATM card. The fellow frantically opened a diary frm which he read out different pin numbers
According to the corps member, he withdrew over a 100k just as the guy urged him to be fast. Unknown to him as he would later find out, the fellow and his gang had stolen a car from which he got the ATM card
The woman who was on her to block the ATM got a debit alert and hastened up to the bank -Access bank. Access bank then connected Diamond bank, his personal Bank and he was called
Pleas for absolution from office staff and concerned people fell on deaf ears as the woman in question kept spitting threats. Currently the corp member has been whisked away by police operatives and is currently at their mercy.
I call on the @NYSC to wade into this matter and ensure that an innocent man is not made to suffer.
Stop helping strangers with their withdrawals at the ATM!!
I don't owe rent, I'm buyin' the darn house - Tyga
Tyga says the eviction lawsuit his landlord filed against him is false, because he's NOT a renter ... he's a homebuyer.
According to Tyga, he made a down payment of $200,000 on the Calabasas mansion a full year ago and the landlord told him he could move in during escrow, without paying any rent.
Tyga says the escrow was supposed to close many months ago, but didn't because the seller didn't provide Tyga's bank with info that would allow the loan to be processed.
However, the landlord says Tyga is lying and is a squatter.
His lawyer, Lee Hutton, tells TMZ, "We evidently live in a world where a man's word is no longer his bond."

Okorocha made the appeal when he played host to the national leadership of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, led by its National President, Rev. Dr. Felix Omobude, at the Govt House, Owerri.
He said:
“Church leaders and leaders of religious groups like the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, should play a leading role in the fight against corruption in the country and should therefore back Mr. President in his effort to fight the monster called corruption”.
He also called on the visiting PFN leaders build Pentecostal University of Nigeria in the state and promised to give them a piece of land and the sum of N100 million take off grant, any time they are ready to start the project.
“It is unfortunate that the past government succeeded in dividing the nation along ethnic and religious lines. And that creates the impression that any time a Christian is a president, the Muslims will feel humiliated and vice-versa. I urge all the Christians and non-Northerners to see this government as their own, and be part of it. We must support it and benefit from it because all Nigerians are meant to benefit from the administration”, Okorocha said.
It was the Governor’s considered opinion that “the nation is passing through a difficult moment occasioned by bad management of the resources of Nigeria”, stressing that Christians did not just pray to get a government in power, they should also pray to sustain the government and ensure that the nation enjoys good leadership.
In his speech, the PFN boss, Rev. Dr. Felix Omobude, said the body would work closely with the government at all levels for the good of the nation and Nigerians as a people, advising that the federal government should begin to address some of the excesses that have held this country down.
Rev. Omobude explained that “for Nigeria to become the strong nation, we should all begin to build strong families, and also build bridges of unity and ensure values.

Chinese woman gets electrocuted while entering PIN code at an ATM
A Chinese woman was in for a real shock last weekend when she tried to get money out of an ATM.
The unsuspecting 23-year-old, known as Xiao Liu, had been entering her PIN code into a cash machine in Xi'an, north west China, when a sudden surge of electricity left her needing hospital treatment.
The electric shock sent 200 volts around the woman's body. Humans can only handle 36 volts safely.
The electricity passed from Liu's hand to her body, leaving her right arm numb and sore.
Liu was forced to the floor by the impact of the shock at the China Everbright Bank.
She soon realised that she was bleeding and that the fingernails on her right thumb and ring finger were broken.
Her card had also been swallowed by the machine.
After recovering for a few minutes, the frightened woman then made her way to a local hospital for treatment.
A doctor wrapped up the injuries and has reassured Liu that the fingernails would grow back on their own.
However, the incident, which happened on Sunday evening, had a lasting impact on Liu whose work requires her to make phone calls and record clients' information.
Her injured right arm stopped her from typing properly and Liu was forced to take sick leave.
Mr Liu, an official from the China Everbright Bank apologised for the accident and said that the bank would compensate the woman by paying for her medical treatment.
He added that the ATM machine had been installed for more than a year and used electricity from the eye wear store where it was placed.
The bank's other two machines, which are based outside the eye wear shop, were also tested.
However, it was found that they did not transmit electricity.
The cause of the malfunction in currently unknown and the cash point is undergoing investigation.
The ATM has since been closed.

MEEK MILL FIRES BACK AT DRAKE ON ‘WANNA KNOW’
Ain’t this what they’ve been waiting for? After a pair of diss tracks from Drake (“Charged Up” and“Back to Back”), Meek Mill finally retaliates with a record of his own called “Wanna Know.”
In between touring with Nicki Minaj, the Philly MC heads back in the studio and comes back breathing fire. He doesn’t hold back, firing shot after shot at Drake, who he accused of hiring a ghostwriter named Quentin Miller to write his rhymes.
Who had the better diss? Listen and weigh in below.
Is Rihanna Really Planning To Release A Taylor Swift Diss Track?
during the 52nd Annual GRAMMY Awards – Salute To Icons Honoring Doug Morris held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 30, 2010 in Beverly Hills, California.
Rihanna has reportedly weighed-in on the whole Katy Perry Vs. Taylor Swift feud, with reports claiming the Bajan babe is planning her very own T-Swizzle diss track! WUT.
According to US OK! magazine, the ‘B*tch Better Have My Money’ singer is tired of Tay poking fun at her BFF K-Pez (hello, left shark shade!) and has decided to take matters into her own hands.
It’s thought that RiRi is also NOT a fan of Taylor’s star-studded ‘Bad Blood’ music video and the same can be said for her “good girl” image.A source explained: ‘Ri’s protective of Katy and bugged by Taylor’s growing good-girl clique’, before adding that she’s planning to record a song about ‘kiss and tell’ women and that it will be an “aggressive club anthem with a video that’s just as brutal as ‘Bad Blood’.”
The insider adds that when the promo drops, ‘it’ll be very obvious that it’s about Taylor’. Meow!
Apparently, RiRi hasn’t informed Perry about the song or video, but the ‘Dark Horse’ singer ‘is aware that Rihanna wants to do something’.”
Despite the danger of ticking off Tay’s army of fans, Rihanna’s ‘not worried’, with the source concluding: ‘She knows Taylor’s intimidated by her’.
After seeing RiRi’s ‘BBHMM’ promo, we’d be a tad concerned if we were Swifty! Here’s hoping her ‘We Found Love’ collaborator (AKA Taylor’s beau) Calvin Harris can stop this madness

PDP officials squandered N12bn in 9 months –Workers
Angry workers of the Peoples Democratic Party have accused the members of the National Working Committee of the party of squandering N12bn in nine months.
The workers claim that N11bn was realised from the sale of nomination forms while N1bn was gotten from the sale of delegates forms.
They alleged that the money was squandered shortly after the sale of the forms began on October 27, 2014 till date.
The workers said this in their response to the letter sent to them by the party’s National Secretary, Prof. Wale Oladipo, on Wednesday.
Oladipo, in the letter, informed workers about the decision of the NWC to reduce the party’s workforce by 50% and to also cut the salaries of those to be retained by the same percentage.
The national secretary of the party said the decision, among others, would take effect from August. He said:
Copies were also sent to the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, PDP caucuses in both the Senate and the House of Representatives, Chairman, PDP Governors’ Forum, Dr. Segun Mimiko and all the PDP governors.
Besides querying how the N11bn was spent, the workers also said they were aware that the party realised another N1bn in sales of delegates forms recently. With this, the angry workers wondered how the party that was in power could be in a financial crisis.
Their letter to Oladipo read in part,

The national secretary of the party said the decision, among others, would take effect from August. He said:
“Establishment staff who would remain are required to obtain individual letters of revalidation from their state chapters within one month of this circular to their suitability for service at the national secretariat.”However, after a meeting in Abuja on Thursday, the workers sent a reply to Oladipo yesterday titled, “Re: Organisation and Restructuring of staff at the national secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party.” They sent copies of the letter, which was exclusively obtained by Punch, to former President Goodluck Jonathan and the acting Chairman, Board of Trustees of the party, Alhaji Haliru Bello.
Their letter to Oladipo read in part,
“While we appreciate the fact that the party is no longer in power, we are equally aware that the party realised over eleven billion naira (N11,000,000,000) in income from the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms in the last quarter of 2014.
“We are equally aware that the NWC collected over a billion naira from the sale of delegate forms via a company account called Morufi Nig. Ltd, Zenith Bank Account N0:1014041654. “With this healthy bank balance, we find it strange that after just two months of handing over power, the NWC is proposing a 50% reduction in staff emoluments.”
“We have also observed from publications in the media that the NWC shared outrageous largesse among themselves immediately after the party’s loss in the last general elections. “We are appalled by the whimsical and derisory nature of the circular which unfortunately negates all known administrative procedures. We wish to recall that the national secretary, who is statutorily in charge of the administration of the secretariat, has never called for a staff meeting or held any interactive session with the staff since his privileged appointment.
“We wish to draw the national secretary’s attention to the fact that there are administrative procedures for the disengagement of staff whose appointments have been duly confirmed.”The workers said they welcomed the decision of the NWC members to reduce their personal staff and also reduce their emoluments. But they said they rejected “the directives for staff members to get revalidation letters from the state chapters as this act will amount to accepting our unlawful disengagement from service.
“We reject in totality the proposal to reduce staff emolument by 50%. This is because unlike the members of the NWC, the staff are solely dependent on their salaries and allowances.”They said they still have unwavering belief in the possibility of the party bouncing back, and, therefore, urged the NWC to have the same faith. The workers reminded the NWC members that the establishment staff of the PDP national secretariat were engaged on the basis of a well-articulated establishment manual that expressly stated the conditions of service therein.

According to a NIMASA official who revealed this to Premium Times, Akpobolokemi was arrested this morning at about 10am over allegations of misappropriation of funds during his tenure as the DG of the maritime agency
"He was taken in this morning around 10 a.m. Some of our other officials have also been summoned while EFCC operatives have been conducting discreet investigation here. There is tension everywhere. One of our people just returned from EFCC and he told me the former DG is still there, sweating profusely as he was being questioned by investigators." the source saidEFCC officials stormed the NIMASA head office and interrogated some officials over contracts awarded by Mr Akpobolokemi during the last administration
"For instance, they wanted to know how a whopping N13 billion was spent on the acquisition of land for the permanent site of the Nigerian Maritime University in Delta. They also asked about other transactions they believed were fraudulent, including transfers of millions of dollars from NIMASA accounts to other accounts.” the source addedAn official of EFCC who spoke on condition of anonymity confirmed Mr Akpobolokemi's arrest.
"I’m aware he is with us but I don’t have details about the case against him or what investigators are asking him,” said the official
I headed a military that lacked equipment- ex Chief of Defence staff Badeh says
Immediate past Chief of Defence Staff, Alex Badeh, who alongside other service chiefs, was sacked by Buhari on July 13, said while he was in office, he headed a military that lacked equipment. He said this during his handing over ceremony to the new chief of Defence staff, Major-General Abayomi Gabriel Olonishakin in Abuja.
"The task of coordinating the military and other security agencies in the fight against the insurgents is perhaps the most complex and challenging assignment I have had in my over 38 years in service. For the first time, I was head of a military that lacked the relevant equipment and motivation to fight an enemy that was invisible and embedded with the local populace.
Furthermore, the activities of fifth columnists in the military and other security agencies who leaked operational plans and other sensitive military information to the terrorist, combined to make the fight against the insurgents particularly difficult. The activities of these unpatriotic members of the military not only blunted the effectiveness of the fight, but also led to the needless deaths of numerous officers and men who unwittingly fell into ambushes prepared by terrorists who had advance warnings of the approach of such troops. The decision by certain countries to deny us weapons to prosecute the war also added to the challenges we faced. Despite these challenges, I am glad to note that a lot was achieved during our time in the fight against terror. The achievements recorded are largely due to the commitment, patriotism and fighting spirit of our men and women in uniform who saw the fight against terror as a task that must be accomplished no matter the odds and inspite of the campaign of calumny against the military by a section of the media with their foreign collaborators.”he said
